Inspection and Investigation

The Practice provides detailed inspection and condition reports of historic buildings ranging from domestic to commercial, vernacular through to large ecclesiastical commissions. The aim is to provide thorough and authoritive advise to allow owners, developers and purchasers devise a plan for the repair and maintenance of a property.  The resulting report would establish the condition of the building, assess repairs and improvements and predict future repairs together with likely budgets.

The Practice undertakes one-off commissions to inspect and report on specific building defects.  This can be particularly important as building defects can be mistakenly identified or incorrectly repaired, both of which can have unforeseen consequences.

The Practice prepares Feasibility Studies to evaluate the most appropriate re-use of existing redundant buildings.  An early, realistic study can be critical to the long-term success of the rehabilitation of a building.
